I’m Tarun, an independent AI product engineer based in India. I build products like Murmur, AudioPage, EchoText, and LoopMaker, and help software teams bring AI into their products.

It started with building things

I’ve been interested in making things since school. I studied Electronics and Communication Engineering for my Bachelor of Technology, and in college I worked with a team on an autonomous drone project. We also took part in college hackathons.

That was where I learned how much I enjoy taking an idea beyond a conversation and turning it into something you can actually use.

From electronics to software

I started freelancing in my final year of college. My first software work was in blockchain, building frontends for teams in the space. Being part of Superteam India connected me with freelance opportunities and other builders.

I later took on frontend contract work for blockchain product teams, then worked on the frontend for ZetaChain’s Layer 1 blockchain. Working with early teams gave me experience turning complex technology into interfaces people could use.

Learning by launching

Alongside client work, I kept building my own projects. In January 2025, I partnered with Pauline, who had a background in DeFi, to build FeedBuzz. We worked on it for several months and launched it.

People used it, but we couldn’t turn that interest into enough revenue. It taught me to look beyond the launch: whether a product solves a problem people value enough to pay for.

Now, building with AI

I kept going, building AI apps including LoopMaker and AudioPage. Today, my focus is on growing my own products and working with teams on useful applications of AI, including product assistants, document processing, and business-tool integrations.

I work across the interface, model integration, and release. The starting point is the job your team needs to do. I choose the model and architecture around your data, quality requirements, integration constraints, and running costs.

The thread through all of it is simple: I like building things, putting them in people’s hands, and learning what to make better.
